Odido named fastest mobile network in the Netherlands for second year in a row

Odido has, yet again, been recognized as the fastest mobile network in the Netherlands, according to Ookla - a global leader in connectivity intelligence. Ookla’s results are a testament to the hard work and investments made over the past two years, during which Odido has completely renewed its 5G network and introduced a new innovative 5G product on the Dutch market, called Klik&Klaar Internet. Benchmark organization umlaut confirms the exceptional quality of Odido’s network and awards it with the highest attainable designation of ‘outstanding’, placing it even among the two best mobile networks in the world. As in 2024, research by benchmark organization umlaut confirms that Odido provides the best fixed internet services in the Netherlands.

Odido outperforms its domestic competitors with 5G
In recent years, Odido has made significant investments in its mobile network. In 2024, the 3.5GHz band was successfully activated throughout the Netherlands and today over 80% of network sites across the country are upgraded to the latest 5G technology. Last year, Odido also increased the maximum speeds of a large number of subscriptions at no additional cost. By making new technologies, such as Massive MIMO, standard across the network, all Odido customers benefit from the fastest and most advanced mobile network.

Odido customers, especially in busy areas like cities or at events, experience noticeably higher speeds. Thanks to investments in the 5G network, it has been named the fastest network in the Netherlands in the Ookla Speedtest® for the second year in a row. In this test, Odido is also increasing the difference with other providers.

Odido performance in umlaut tests
In addition to its mobile success, Odido’s fixed internet has again been awarded the highest score in umlaut’s latest test for the Dutch market, with a total of 964. The outcome is underlining the importance of fiber technology for a stable network experience and confirms that Odido’s fixed internet services offer the most consistent network experience in the Netherlands. Furthermore, the test results highlight the exceptional performance in both upload and download speeds, as well as the internet latency of Odido’s fixed internet services.

Odido’s position as a top performing mobile network operator has been reaffirmed by the result of umlaut’s mobile benchmark. With a score of 987, Odido’s mobile network maintains its rank among the absolute global top, even improving one place in comparison to last year by ranking second globally. The benchmark organization labels Odido's mobile network with the best possible designation of ‘outstanding’. These achievements reaffirm Odido’s commitment to delivering the best possible network experience to both consumer and business customers and ensuring their access to the latest technological innovations.
