Odido reduces prices for higher fiber optic speeds

Odido will adjust the prices of its fixed internet subscriptions as of October 27. With this change, Odido aims to make higher fiber-optic speeds even more attractive for its customers and to respond to the growing demand for data in the Netherlands. The provider also seeks to give more people access to the latest technological innovations, such as ultra-fast fiber-optic internet. 

Odido is experiencing strong growth in the fiber-optic market. Thanks to its open wholesale strategy, Odido has become the largest provider of fiber internet in the Netherlands. More than 8 million households can now access Odido’s fixed internet services. With its 8 Gbit/s plan, the provider has also been offering the fastest fiber internet in the country for two years. Earlier this year, Odido’s fixed internet services were rated Best in Test in the national network test conducted by benchmark organization umlaut, for the second year in a row. 

With the new pricing, Odido not only makes higher internet speeds more affordable, but also strengthens its position as a leading provider of fast and reliable fixed internet services. 

Prices for fiber subscriptions starting at 2 Gbit/s will be significantly reduced, by up to €17.50 per month for an 8 Gbit/s plan. In addition, customers who choose a two-year contract will receive extra benefits compared to a one-year contract. The prices will apply to new subscriptions.

Consumers expect high speeds to be the standard, and rightly so. We have already demonstrated this in the mobile sector with our unlimited subscriptions that achieve the very highest speeds. With these new prices, we are making high speeds for fixed internet more accessible to our customers. 

Changes to Vast Bellen and bundles 
The rates for fixed telephony will also change. The Unlimited Vast Bellen Plus bundle is being reduced by €5 and will now cost €10 per month. This allows customers to make unlimited calls to both landline and mobile numbers within the Netherlands. Customers who renew their contract, move house, or switch to another network from today onward will pay the new, lower rate. The Vast Bellen Start bundle remains unchanged.
