Policy regarding calls to and from Israel and Palestine

Odido empathizes with the victims, friends, and/or family members affected by the war in and around the Gaza Strip. At Odido, the focus is on people, and this means that the provider believes in the power of connection.

Given the very tragic situation within the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the situation in Gaza, Odido has carefully considered how it can provide an appropriate solution as a provider to those affected. Because each war has its own dynamics and power field, Odido, in this specific situation, has opted for a very generous leniency policy that has also been applied by the provider around humanitarian disasters. An example of this is the earthquake in Morocco in 2023.

Based on the invoice insights Odido has regarding increased call costs to both Israeli and Palestinian territories after October 7, 2023, employees proactively approach customers and, together with the customer, explore a suitable solution. Call costs to and from the Gaza Strip are reimbursed by Odido.

This personal approach aligns with Odido's human-centered philosophy and is highly appreciated by our customers. Odido closely monitors the situation and adjusts its policy if the situation requires to do so. At present, there is no consideration for a change in our approach.
